Homebound Ministry

Coordinated by the senior adult ministry staff, visits are made regularly to our homebound members by staff members and by their Deacon partner.

Homebound members are kept connected to the church with weekly mailings of Sunday bulletins with a letter from the preaching pastor. CDs of the worship services and players are provided as requested. Communion is offered twice a year, on World Communion Sunday and Palm Sunday, or more often if requested.

Children's Sunday school classes are matched up as prayer pals with homebound members and they share crafts throughout the year as tangible reminders of the relationship. Our Kingdom Kids Nursery School connects by remembering our homebound members with a craft item at Thanksgiving and Easter.

As we visit, share communion and as people display the children’s crafts in their homes and care communities, we have developed a reputation of being a church that cares. We encourage our members in care communities to witness to staff and family members by sharing stories of their church and faith lives.

"Lord, You have been our dwelling place throughout all generations."  Psalm 90:1
