The Welcome Class:

“Selections from The Book of Luke – Connecting the Old Testament with the New”

Sunday mornings  ~  10:15 - 11:00 a.m. ~  Fellowship Hall

The Welcome Class will explore how stories in the gospel of Luke connect with the Old Testament Scriptures. One class, for example, will look at The Parable of the Lost Sheep (Luke 15:1-7) to see how it connects with Ezekiel 34 and Isaiah 40:11.  All are welcome; please come as you are able throughout the summer.  And this is a great opportunity for visitors to get engaged beyond the morning worship service, so please extend a personal invitation as you get to know newcomers, or invite others to join us for worship.

Small Group Bible Study:  “The Fruit of the Spirit”

Sunday mornings  ~  10:15 - 11:00 a.m.

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.

These are the attitudes, behaviors and traits reflected in the lives of those who are united with Christ. The lessons highlighting each quality will help us allow the Holy Spirit to guide and encourage us, allowing the fruit to ripen as we to continue to mature toward Christ-likeness.

Small Group Bible Study:  “The ‘I am’ Statements of Jesus”

Sunday afternoons ~ 12:30 p.m. following the Heritage Service

This study will be examining the “I Am” claims of Jesus. To grief-stricken friends, Jesus said “I am the Resurrection.” Addressing hungry crowds, he announced “I am the Bread of Life.” To fearful followers, he proclaimed “I am the Way.”  Lunch will be offered at cost for those who are interested.
